Are your walls bulging or cracking?
If you’ve noticed bulging or cracking in your walls, or a slight lifting of your roof, it is very possible that the wall ties supporting your cavity walls have corroded.
This is a particular problem in older properties, because the wall ties are often not galvanised at all, or not galvanised to a high enough standard.
Corroded cavity wall ties can pose a very serious threat to your property:
- Bulging walls
- Cracked mortar
- Roof lifting
- Compromised structural integrity
- Risk of collapse
You need to have your corroded cavity wall ties replaced
If your wall ties have corroded, we can replace them to re-stabilise the structure of your home. Depending on the type of wall ties you have, we may have to remove the old ones and replace them, as very thick section ties can do extensive damage if left in.
Some types can be left in, but since they no longer offer any support new ones will also have to be inserted.
If you suspect your cavity wall ties need replacing, don’t wait until the problem gets worse; contact us today for expert advice. |
